Ginny Collinsworth was called home to heaven on March 1st, 2023. She was born Virginia Ellis in Detroit Michigan on October 4th 1929 to Allen and Lela Ellis. She grew up in Dearborn Michigan. Her parents enjoyed the outdoors hunting, boating, fishing and gardening. She learned to love boating and fishing on Tipsico Lake in Oakland County. She deplored the cold and often wondered why her parents moved here from Tennessee. She learned to cope with the Michigan weather and called it home spending all of her years here. In 1949 she met and married the late Ty Collinsworth. Ty & Ginny had 3 children in Garden City, Lori(Keith) Hesse, Gary(Jill) Collinsworth, Shari (Tom Abee) Kuschel and late son-in-law (Steve Kuschel), plus 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Ginny was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her job at Twin Pines Dairy and then Farm Maid Dairy as a Bookkeeper. Ty and Ginny enjoyed numerous trips to Navarre Beach Florida visiting with family and friends throughout their lifetime. She also loved her church family at Merriman Road Baptist Church. Ty and Ginny felt very blessed to find such a wonderful group of people to worship with. She will be greatly missed and in all our hearts forever.
