Mary Bride (McCrohan) Poole. Smiled, laughed and loved with her husband—Marshall E. Poole for some 23 years before he left her side in 1975...now they are able to walk hand-in-hand once again! Caring mother to Lawrence Edward, Janet Eileen and Thomas Michael Poole. Loving Mother-in-Law to Sherrie Poole and Mary E. Poole—who was by her side in her final moments and without question extended the quality of her life—with her love and care—over these past few years. She loved you Mary very much and was very grateful for your friendship and for your friends and caregivers—Sharon & Dawn—who came to know her as momma-Poole! Devoted grandmother to Jamie Rebecca, Marshall Thomas, Angela Christine (Miracle), Andrew David, Chelsea Marie (Wellington), Tommy James and Zachary (Zak) Lawrence Poole. Great Grandmother to six granddaughters that she simply—adored—Lilli & Violet (Wellington-her flowers in the desert), Izzie & Skylar (Poole) her little performers, Becca (Grassi) and Ellie Jo (Poole) her newest addition! You will come to know Great Grandma Poole more and more over the coming years as she will live in your heart forever. A giver of both compassion and care for some 30+ years of service at Garden City Hospital as a nursesaide... it was an extension of the care, hand holding and love she provided for her husband, in his final years and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout her life. She took care of her home at 852 and always loved to plant her flowers and loved to see her grass cut and groomed! Born on September 5, 1926, to the late Michael & Bride (Griffen) McCrohan and sister to the late Katherine (Katie) Bernhardt and James McCrohan. Aunt Mary to Michael, David and Peggy Bernhardt, Judy (Kent) Sheila (Bahr) and Connel and Desmond (McCrohan). She was a remarkable lady that would have never describe herself that way. She had a way of simplifying the complex and ALWAYS being there with the right amount of ear to lend, shoulder to lean on or hand to hold. She was and will always be our mother...the pizza grandma and the one that was always in our corner—whether we had our eyes open to see it or not. She will always be missed and someone who we'll always think about and talk about at our gatherings. We'll always have a chair ready for her on the those sunny bright summer Sunday's she so loved to spend with her FAMILY. We love you and will miss you very much Mom...we will try our best to make you proud and will keep you in our hearts forever, and... May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
