Lucy Wallis August 5th, 1930 - October 24th, 2021 Lucy Wallis, age 91, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on October, 24th, 2021 in Livonia, Michigan. She was born on August 5, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Salvatore and Adaline Paratore. She was 1 of 10 children. She is survived by her beloved husband George of 70 years, her loving children Janet (Steve) Watkins, Karen (Bruce) Petke, Linda (Daniel) Carr and Nancy (Peter) Kunst, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Over her 91 years, she enjoyed cooking daily, making her famous pasta sauce (she was very proud of her Italian heritage), homemade Belgian waffles for the grandkids, playing card games, bocce ball, shopping, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, going to church and mostly loved being with her family. She loved to walk the mall and had friends in probably every store and would always tell them about Jesus! While she didn’t love to travel, the love of her life did, so she traveled along with him. She enjoyed visiting Amish country in Ohio every year and, of course, met friends there too! She had such a fun personality, loved to joke around, was sporty and would be the first to shoot a basketball. She was always so beautifully dressed and always had the perfect jewelry and purse to go with every outfit. She was the most beautiful, kind, tenderhearted and compassionate woman who will be missed by us all. Our LOVE for you will never cease, you will always be our missing piece! We will forever miss her voice saying “Kapeesh” or in Italian, “Capisci”. She was preceded in death by her parents, and all her brothers and sisters. She was the last living sibling of the Paratore Ten. “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.” John 17: 3-5. Please share a memory of Lucy on her tribute wall.
