Harry Wolfe

July 1, 1943 — September 7, 2024

Harry L. Wolfe, Livonia Real Estate Legend , Age 81, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024. He was a loving father to Scott (Jennifer) and Dana (Nikki) Wolfe, a proud grandfather to Brandon (Kayleigh), Nick (Tori), Kennedy, and Ryan, and a great-grandfather to Jackson and Adelynn.

Harry was born July 1, 1943, to Harry and Helen (Majors) Wolfe and was raised by his father and stepmother Virginia Wolfe in Livonia, Michigan.

After graduating from Bentley High School in 1961 and having attended Cleary University, Harry proudly continued his father and grandfather’s legacy by becoming a third-generation, top-producing realtor at Wolfe Realty.  In 1966, he married the love of his life Shirley Anne (Hagel) Wolfe and they enjoyed 48 years together with their two sons and grandchildren.

Once Wolfe Realty closed its doors in the early 90’s, Harry continued his legacy with Century 21 where he earned more than a dozen Centurion awards, which are awarded to the firm's top producers. “Results come easy when you love what you’re working for”, he often said.

He ‘retired’ after 50 years in the real estate business, but was known to always keep an active office in Northville and business cards in his pocket as recently as 2022 - always looking for a listing.

Harry’s contributions extended well beyond his own family and professional career. He spent most of his life as a member of Livonia Goodfellows and proudly served as two-time President of the Livonia Lions Club and was instrumental in organizing the second Lioness Club in the state of Michigan.

He loved dancing, playing cards, hunting and fishing at Turtle Lake, spending time at his cabin on Higgins Lake, and traveling with his wife to their favorite destinations in Puerto Vallarta, Bermuda and throughout Northern Michigan.

He had several passions, including restoring vintage outboard motors, creating leaded glass artwork which still adorns the home he and Shirley designed and built in Northville, and overengineering just about anything he put his mind to. He was also uniquely talented in woodworking and often used the wood and antlers he gathered from the family cottage for special projects and gifts for family.

He was strongly admired for his limitless work ethic, and intense focus on anything he set his mind to - be it a listing, any project that sparked his interest or any item that needed ‘fixing’. He always had projects in the works and has left his mark on virtually everything around him.  He also possessed a witty sense of humor, a proud devotion to his wife and family, and maintained a reputation as Livonia’s trusted name in real estate for over 50 years, and was honored to be involved in the community.

Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, his parents Harry E Wolfe and Helen (Majors) Wolfe, and Sherry (Bill) Joyner and Sharon (Steve) Smith. He is survived by his stepmother, Virginia, two sons Dana & Scott, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as siblings Jerry (Kathy) Wolfe, Bonnie (Dave) Showerman, Dawn (Joel) Johnson, and Marge (Chuck) Manns.
