Frederick Bond

October 25, 1928 — February 16, 2025

FREDERICK E. BOND October 25, 1928 – February 16, 2025 FREDERICK E. BOND passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025. He was born in 1928 in Tustin, MI, but grew up on the county farm in Evart, MI, which is the place he remembered as his childhood home. Frederick is reunited in heaven with his wife of 63 years Patricia and his son Michael, and was loving father to Vicki (Bruce) Simpkins, Jeff (Kathy), Sue (the late John) Violante, Tom (Laurie), Becky (Jude) Mansilla, and grandfather to his grandchildren Richelle, Brian, Kristen, Meghan, Alexandra, John, Ashley, Zachary, Ronan, and several great-grandchildren. Frederick graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, went on to serve in the US Army with a post-war tour in Germany (and with many adventures around Europe), after which he began a career as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Eli Lilly and Company that lasted for 40 years. When he retired, he enjoyed traveling, scouting for antiques, gardening, and spending time with his family. While Frederick was a member of several organizations, it was with the Ferndale Rotary Club that he was most active, including as two-time president. There will be a memorial mass at St Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd, Livonia, on Friday, February 28th at 9:30 am to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. We love you – and until we meet again, we will miss our beloved patriarch.
