Ercie May

Ercie May, of Dearborn Heights, Age 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2023.  She was the wife of her best friend Danny for 59 years.  Loving mother to Danny (Laura) May and Larry (Julie) May.  Doting grandmother of Caleb (Anna) May & Kelsey (Christian) Puschell and great grandmother of Aubrey May.  Dear sister to Joe (Mary) Slone and the late Delphia (John) Chaney & Ned (Ruth) Slone.

There are simply not enough words to sum up the life of this truly one of a kind woman. She was feisty, stubborn, loving, hospitable and so, so faithful to the Lord. Even when things got really difficult, it was near impossible to slow her down. Her tenacity for life, ability to see the glass as “half full” and endless motivation gave both family and friends amazing examples to follow in their own lives.  She constantly defied the “limit setters”, was intentional about her time with family and friends and served others through daily interactions or service through her membership at Deerfield Primitive Baptist Church.  During her lifetime, she was an avid bowler, a competition worthy dessert maker and the glue that kept her family together.  She will definitely be missed, but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, on Sunday, October 29th from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Monday, October 30th at 10:00 AM with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
