Ellsworth (Al) Jotham, age 89. Beloved husband of Bettie Tuttle. Born on January 19, 1927 in Detroit, MI; passed away April 21, 2016 in Farmington Hills, MI. He was the son of the late Jotham Tuttle and Anna (Postel) Tuttle. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Tuttle and foster sister, Betty Mohl. Al was a WWII Navy veteran who retired from the Detroit Police Department with the rank of Inspector in 1974 after 25 years of service. He then taught at the Criminal Justice Institute and was instrumental in establishing security for the newly built Detroit Renaissance Center. He moved to Sun City West, Arizona in the 1980's where he enjoyed warm weather and golfing for over 22 years. He was an avid reader and excellent card player. He is survived by his children, Jay (Rosie) Tuttle, Janet Abbruzzese, Jonathon (Beverly) Tuttle, Jeffery (Ann) Tuttle, and Jennifer (Dennis) Lauer, and step-children, Steve (Toni) Tarczy, Jill (Dave) Kurtz, and Leigh (Steve) Guzowski.
