Carol Lynn Dout

Carol Lynn Dout, age 78, of Redford, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2016 at her family's cottage on Mullett Lake. She was born July 4, 1938 in Detroit to Carl and Grace (Kirchoff) Brandt. Carol graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1957. On September 20, 1958 she married Richard Dout at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Detroit. She and Richard owned the Lobby Shoppe in the Detroit School Center Building from many years. Carol enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Carol is survived by: two daughters, Susan (Gary) Dyke of Traverse City and Anne Dout of Dearborn Heights; two grandsons, Alexander and Andrew Dyke; as well as three sisters, Catherine O'Connor of Greenbush, Mary Brandt of Dearborn and Christine Viets of Sidney, Montana. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Richard on November 6, 2012. A Memorial Visitation will be held at R.G. & G.R.
