Willis William "Bill" Spaw

Willis William "Bill" Spaw, 82, of Wayne, Michigan born in Detroit, MI. 10/29/1936, died in Beaumont Hospital 10/15/2019. He and his loving wife Patricia had just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary, having married at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Elizabeth Street, Wayne, Michigan on 9/20/1958. Also surviving are two sons, William Richard (Susan) and Gerald Kevin (Betty) also of Wayne. He is also survived by five grand-daughters, Kristen Oldaker (Sean), Shelby DiPonio (John), Callie, Clarissa and Sydney and two great-grandchildren Jackson and Olivia. Three siblings surviving, Stanley J. of Plymouth, Robert E. of Livonia and Carol K. Spaw-Milligan of Canton. Willis was preceded in death by two sisters Joleene (Schilling) and Judith S. (Perrigan) and brother Garsia L. Spaw (Wilma). Willis is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. One of his many proud accomplishments was managing different baseball teams for City of Wayne, Recreation Department for several years while his sons were in the baseball programs. He was a veteran, S/Sgt. service nine years with the Air Force and was honored with a veteran's funeral from Garden City R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Home and interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Please share a memory of Willis on his tribute wall.
