William "Bill" Schebel

William A. Schebel "Billy" Born June 24,1947 in Detroit to Bill and Arlene Schebel. Peacefully passed on August 19,2019. He would not want his/this obituary to read as a Resume so it will stop right there. Bill loved his Bride Karen and Son Todd more than life itself! His love was not limited to Karen and Todd. His unrelenting love and pride extended greatly to his Brother Ron, and his sons (nephews) Ryan (Godson) Brent, Dana, Rj and their families. His sister and brother in laws Susan, Hal and their families. Bill was always surrounded by countless friends that he considered to be family, many of which he referred to as “adopted kids" and "grand kids“ that he enjoyed spending time with on Hunting trips, yearly trips to the Virgin Islands, and an untold number of weekends up north at Todd’s, and just hanging around visiting. Bill was a loving, caring, charitable man, the type of man that would give the shirt off his back and a clean one from his drawer for a friend in need. Always quick with a donation to the school fundraisers, community sports programs, he was never able to pass up a little girl selling Thin Mints. He was also a strong supporter of St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Many will cherish the memories of his quick wit. He would sometimes lay back in conversations waiting for just the right moment to pop in with his comical one liners just to make everyone laugh, or when he would take center stage with one of his infamous jokes (I for one, being positive he would want everyone to remember to “hold his little nose “ !!!) Bill’s family will be holding a celebration of life in his honor at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests and appreciates a donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
