Thomas Sullivan Born Thomas O'Sullivan in Bantry Ireland, passed April 23, 2018, age 87. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Hurley). Loving father of Linda (Steve) Welsh, Noreen (Michael) Gurney, Thomas (Deborah) Sullivan, and Maureen (Michael) Fleury. Dearest grandfather of Kathleen (Dylan) England, Steven (Louise) Welsh, Thomas Welsh, Kara Gurney, Morgan Gurney, Kate Sullivan, Maura Sullivan, Ian Fleury, and Conor Fleury. Loved by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Mary (Ivor) Mullins, late Patrick (Josephine) O'Sullivan, and John (Rita) O'Sullivan. Tommy sailed from Ireland to the United States in 1954 where he traveled to Michigan and started working as a plasterer with Local 67. He sent for Elizabeth, married June 11, 1956, and settled in Detroit to raise their family. Tommy was an avid Tigers' fan and loved to listen to the games while tending to his large rose garden. He was a very active retiree who was always willing to lend a helping hand to his children and neighbors with any home improvement project. His quiet manner, quick wit, and infectious laugh was loved by all who had the pleasure of calling him Dad, Gramps or G-Dawg, Brother, Uncle, and friend. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Friday, April 27, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. He will be Instate at Our Lady of Victory Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville, Saturday from 10 a.m. until his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Southeast Michigan are appreciated.
