Thomas J. Mcghie

Thomas J. McGhie, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 30, 2015. Loving husband of Louise (Urban) for 25 years, dear father of Sara (Nate) Mann & Michael McGhie and step-father to Dave (Tammy), Matt, and Mark Wronikowski. Proud grandpa to Quinton, Autumn, Lexi, Leah, Mikayla, Linnea, Chelsea, Josh, and Justin. Beloved brother of Patrick (Lyn) McGhie, Linda (Neil) Manning, and April McGhie. Brother-in-law of Ralph, Carol, John, and Jill Urban. Survived by step-mother Brenda McGhie and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by parents John and Elsie and brother Michael McGhie. Long-time Livonia resident, Tom graduated from Michigan State University and pursued a career in property management. Tom retired in 2010 and enjoyed spending time with his family around his pool, playing cards, and traveling with Louise. He enjoyed Red Wings games and was an avid gambler at the black jack tables. Memorials may be made to Livonia Goodfellows or Toys for Tots. Visitation Tuesday 2-9 pm at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Funeral Service Wednesday 11:00 am.
