Thomas Mariotti

Thomas Ryan Mariotti was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 5th, 1955 to Camillo and Julia. He died on May 11th, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak due to complications after a heart attack. At the time of his passing, he was 67 years old. Tom was the beloved husband of Jo Lynn and father of Matthew, Julia, Mark, and Maria. He graduated from Stevenson High School in 1973 and went on to study at Eastern Michigan University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in music education. Thomas’s lifelong passion was music. He often said that he knew he would be a musician by the time he was five. As a young man, Tom spent his time traveling and playing music across the country. For over forty years, he taught music in public school as well as private lessons. He has also shared his love for music with his children, to whom he taught piano and guitar. All of Tom’s students will remember him for his kindness, his generosity, and his humor. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Camillo and Julia, and his son, Mark. He is survived by his wife, Jo Lynn; his children, Matthew, Julia, and Maria; his many nieces and nephews; and his siblings, Patrice (Mark), Jean Claire (Andrew), Michael, and Noreen (Patrick). Tom's family and friends will hold him in their hearts forever. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, 48154, Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 5:00 until his Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
