Susan Josephine Ollis

Susan J Ollis, (81) Beloved wife of James for 38 years, passed away on September 12, 2022. Loving mother of Patty (Dan) Corby, Andy (Julie) Nelson, Rosie (Sherry) Nelson, Eddie (Angel) Nelson, and Benjie Nelson. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Dearest sister to Jon (Sherri) Gfroerer, Mark (Janet) Gfroerer, and the late Raymond (Sandy) Gfroerer. Pre-deceased by her parents Raymond (Jeanette) Gfroerer. Susan had the ability to see potential in everything. She loved painting and doing crafts, turning the ordinary into a creation, not only for art shows, but in exposing her grandchildren to all the different types of art there is. They never left her home without a new creation to take home. She was involved in the Downriver Art Ambiance club for many years, and in her younger years, shared her talent and love for socializing as the Art Director at the St. Jude Nursing Center. Her passion for gardening was a work of art itself and her backyard was her haven. The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 19, with visitation starting at 10:00am, with a Memorial Service at 1:00pm, followed by last goodbyes at the Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, in Westland.
