Stella Rosemary Hoover (nee Bochowicz), born in 1927 in Hamtramck MI to Mary and Peter Bochowicz, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 with complications from a stroke. She graduated Hamtramck High School and attended Michigan State University where she met her husband, William Evart Hoover. During their early marriage they traveled most of the United States with the Air Force. William was in the Air Force Reserve during the Korean War and stationed in Anchorage Alaska. Post-service they moved back to Grand Rapids, Michigan and settled in Royal Oak and then Southfield. Rosemary was an energetic homemaker, excelling in sewing and gardening and raising her three children, Laurette (Laurie) Hoover now in Salem, MA with her husband, Donald T Wark; Demaree Ann Hoover of Waterford, MI with husband John Glenn; and Randall Alan Hoover in Beverly Hills, MI with wife Jennifer Ann (nee Eppert). Rosemary and her family enjoyed water sports, boating and water skiing at their Charlevoix lake house and their Ft Lauderdale condo, especially after her husband’s retirement. In her declining years, Rosemary resided at Woodward Hills Nursing Center. Her husband predeceased her, as well as her two half sisters, Sophie Kazperec, and Mary Pinkowski. She is survived by her three children, Laurette, Demaree, and Randy along with four loving grandchildren children: Randell “RJ” Hoover, Garrison “Gar” Hoover and wife Susan (nee Sweers), Kallan Rose Hoover, and Hadley Ann Hoover. A Memorial Service will be held at Highland Park Baptist Church, 28600 Lahser Rd., Southfield, Friday at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Red Cross.
