Dearest mother of William, grandmother of Erik, Erin and Leeanna, and great grandmother of Charles, Halie and Brenton. Born in Vandergrift, PA. Moved to Detroit in 1917. Graduated from Fordson High School in 1935. Married August 1943 to William Scruggs in San Antonio, Texas. Joined Post Office 1935 until 1972. Served as Postmistress from 1944 until 1946. Belonged to Order of Eastern Star in Dearborn and Garden City. Resided in Garden City from 1928 until 1969. Moved to Holiday Park in 1969. Served as Chairperson for Membership Committee, Pet Committee and Traffic and Safety Committee. Visitation at the R.G. & G. R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City, Tuesday from 3-9pm with Funeral Service at 7pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Michigan Humane Society.
