Ronald David Reinhart passed away Saturday evening, June 27th 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on December 13th, 1946 in Detroit, MI. He was raised in Redford, MI by his parents, the late R.D. and Evelyn Reinhart. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Diane Reinhart. He was the loving father of Melissa and Ron, and the grandfather of Grace Gilbert, Sarah Reinhart, Nicole Reinhart, Jacob Reinhart, Shealyn Gilbert, and Grant Gilbert. He is survived by his brother Tim. And he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ron and Gail moved to Livonia in 1978. He worked on the assembly line at Detroit Diesel for approximately 31 years until he retired in the early 2000’s. While raising 2 children and working long hours at Detroit Diesel, he went to night-school and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Walsh college. He loved the organ (he was a member of what is now named the Motor City Theatre-Organ Society in the early ‘80’s). He took on a second job for a while selling organs at Wonderland mall. He also used to take the family rolling skating on organ nights at the Riverside roller rink. Ron liked drag-racing and earned a trophy racing when he was younger. He was proud of where he worked and the family would go on employee days at Michigan International Speedway. He loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed hearing what was going on in their lives. Perhaps his greatest legacy is the amazing love and devotion he demonstrated to his wife Gail. Through the many challenges and difficulties that came their way, he loved her and cared for her and was loyal to her to the end. His devotion will always be an example of his love for God and for his family. Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on June 30 at 3:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 14175 Farmington Rd, Livonia on July 1 at 11:00 AM.
