Ronald "Ron" Jankowski

Ronald “Ron” Jankowski, of Livonia, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Leslie Rice. Loving father of Carey (Josh) Coffee, Danielle Jankowski, and Jennifer (Michael Fletcher) Putnam. Dear grandfather of Sophia, Alivia, Mason, and Avery. Loving son-in-law of Laura and the late Al Rice. Brother-in-law of Laura (Kent) Griffiths, Tim (Marci) Rice, and Michael (Mandy) Rice. "Uncle Ron" to several nieces and nephews. Cousin to Mike & Gail (Jankowski) Horback, Gary (Sally) Jankowski & Richard Jankowski. Ron was a Vietnam Veteran and proud American patriot. He served in the US Army from 1965-1967 in Germany and Vietnam in the 1st Infantry Division also known as the Big Red 1. After receiving an honorable discharge from the US Army, Ron began his 30-year career with Ford Motor Company in their state-of-the-art Research and Development Experimental Garage, where he was proudly part of the first Taurus Team. This vehicle is on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. Ron was fun-loving and always the life of the party. He loved to laugh and being with people. Hobbies included boating, golfing, bowling, cards, and concerts. He and Leslie loved to travel with the Nomads Travel club. His favorite groups were ABBA and the BeeGees. Ron loved his life, was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 25th at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Road, Livonia, MI 48154.
