Robert E. Simmons

Robert E. Simmons, age 79, May 21, 2023, of Livonia. Beloved husband of Linda. Loving father of Karen, and Kimberly (Jim) Murray. Dear grandfather of Parker, Connor, Cameron, April, Sharlene, Dana, Ray and Brandy. Brother of Sally. Robert was preceded in death by his son Kevin; parents Stanley and Alice Chope and Fred Simmons; and siblings Mary, Harold, Mary A. and Rose. Robert always took care of his family. He did lots of volunteer work for veterans. He was retired from the UAW local 182 (Ford Motor Company). Bob loved golfing and bowling. He was known for his generous heart and great sense of humor. Visitation Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 3 - 8 PM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Funeral Service Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 12 noon. His family suggests donations to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
