Robert “Bob” Nicol, Age 73, Unexpectedly passed away on October 24, 2022. Beloved Husband of Evelyn Vega. Cherished father of Rex and Delilah. Grandfather of Miguel and Patrick. Loving brother of Carol (Terry) Schleicher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob will be greatly missed by his family. Bob was born in Detroit and moved to Dearborn Heights when he was 8 years old. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1967 as well as with a Bachelor Degree from Wayne State University. While there he made many friends who he still considers important in his life. He worked at several different jobs, as a Special Education Teacher before being hired at Republic Airlines, later Northwest and finally Delta. He worked there for many years again, collecting friends for life. Once Bob retired, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, traveling, salsa dancing, having social gathering in his home, swimming in the pond, working around the house, teasing everyone and anyone, always without malice, with a big grin on his face. Bob particularly loved spending time with his Grandsons, Miguel, and Patrick. He lite up when he talked about them. Equally important to him were his son and daughter. The absolute love of his life was his wife, Evelyn. Who he loved with his whole heart. Bob was a unique man, who loved life completely and never had an enemy in the world. Once he considered you his friend, you were his friend for life. A Funeral service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Noon and a Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
