Robert "Bob" Matheny Age 91, May 26, 2012, of Livonia. Beloved husband of the late Katherine. Loving father of Susan (Charles) Carlsen, Robert M. and Jean (Robert) Telep. Dear grandfather of Connie (Chris) Spoeneman, Cindy Carlsen (Tony Bono), Carrie (Mike) Chadwick, John Argue and Kurt Argue. Great-grandfather of Lauren, Stephen, Charlie, Natalie, Brennan, Heather, David and Joey. Great-great-grandfather of Julian. Dearest friend of Helen Langdon. Bob was a Detroit Police Officer for 25 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Saterlee, and was a member of VFW. ~The family of Robert Matheny is grateful for the compassion and friendship the Langdon family extended to their dad/grandpa, particularly during his recent illness. Funeral Service 10 AM Saturday at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Visitation Friday from 5-9 PM. VFW Honor Service 7:30 PM Friday.
