Richard Paul Tyrrell

Richard Paul Tyrrell. Age 59. March 28, 2005. Loving husband of Dale. Dearest father of Michael Allen (Shelly) and Joseph Carl (Jeanne). Cherished grandfather of Brittani, Jamie, Derek and Kiara. Son of the late Anna and Howard Tyrrell. Brother of Shirley (Bruce) Hoffman and James Tyrrell. Richard grew up in Garden City and attended Garden City High School. He joined the Army and was discharged in 1971. He was a delivery driver for Pepsi-Cola for over 35 years. Richard fought a long and brave battle with leukemia. On April 17 a fundraiser had been planned at the Warren Valley Banquet Facility in Dearborn Heights, to help defray the cost of medical expenses and his upcoming stem cell transplantation. The event will continue as planned and will now include a short Memorial Service. Residual funds from the event will be donated to the Children's Leukemia Foundation, in Richard's memory.
