Richard Beech Rogers Passed away Saturday, May 2nd as a result of heart-related issues, in his home in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He was 74 years old. Rick was born in 1940 in Evanston, IL and grew up in Glenview, IL as the son of Oliver and Elizabeth Rogers. He was a graduate of University of Michigan undergraduate school and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1964. While in law school he was admitted as a member of the prestigious Michigan Law Review. Upon graduation he took a job as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis law firm in downtown Chicago. Shortly thereafter however, he was drafted and entered the Army reserves and became a Captain serving as a Staff Judge Advocate. Upon leaving the service, he returned to Chicago and his job at Kirkland & Ellis. In 1971 he moved from Chicago to the northern suburb of Wilmette, IL. In 1978 he took a job as lead Anti-Trust Counsel for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. He worked there for 20 years until his retirement in 1998. He is survived by his sons Jeffrey William Rogers of Mission Viejo, CA, and Mark Oliver Rogers of Warren, MI., and also by his younger brother Perry Joseph Rogers of Washington D.C. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Saturday, June 6th from 2 pm until his Memorial Service at 4 pm.
