Peter George Males

Peter G Males Sr, age 80, of Jonesville Mi and formerly of Garden City Mi, passed away peacefully at his home in Jonesville on Thursday, November 18th, 2021. Peter was a devoted Father, Brother, Papa, Uncle and friend to all. Peter graduated from South Western High School in Detroit Mi in 1960. He then went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1961-1964 deploying during the Cuban Missile Crisis and participating in the blockade on the U.S.S Hank Destroyer. Michigan Bell was his occupation of choice before deciding to continue serving people as a Wayne County Deputy until an on duty accident forced him into an early retirement. Watching his sons compete in sports was one of his favorite things along with big family gatherings, wonderful grandkids and taking many naps. Peter is survived by son’s Peter Jr(Michelle Smith) and Ryan(Chandra) Males. Siblings Denise(Rick)Dobson,Barbara Vorves, Tula Kyprianides, George Kyprianides and Diane Kyprianides. Grandchildren Isaac, Ayden, Kaleb, Parker, Grant and Emma. Also many nieces and nephews. Peter was proceeded in death by his Mother Mary and sister Jody. Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday November 21st from 1-9 pm at R.G. Harris Funeral Home in Garden City. Funeral services to honor the life of Peter will be Monday November 22nd at 10:00 am at R.G. Harris Funeral Home in Garden City Mi with burial to follow in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetery in Westland Michigan. “May you have fair winds and following seas” Please share a memory of Peter on his Tribute Wall.
