Paul J. Blasch, 83, of Superior Township, formerly of Grosse Ile, Michigan, and Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on April 29th, 2023, at University of Michigan Hospital. Paul was a loving husband, amazing father, friend to everyone he met, and active in his community. He graduated from Elder High School, and was a reservist in the United States Air Force. He began his work career with Cincinnati Milacron in 1963. In 1971, he moved to Michigan to work with JK Smit & Sons in Riverview, Michigan, for 15 years and continued his career in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, until he retired in 2002. In retirement he volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul, ushered at his church, and served on the board of the Bromley Park Community Association. He was proceeded in death by his father Earl R. Blasch and his mother Loretta Kessen Blasch, brothers Earl Blasch, Robert Blasch, and sisters Rosemary Boehm, Loretta Berning, and Dorothy Roll. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rodau Blasch, sons P. Bryan Blasch (Noelle), Sean C. Blasch (Dawn), Matthew K. Blasch and Brendan L. Blasch, Grandchildren Cloance O. Blasch, Tiegan L. Blasch, Ainsley R. Blasch, Caitlyn N. Blasch, Dylan M. Elgas and Colin R. Elgas, sister Martha Glasbrenner, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held in Michigan on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Thomas ά Becket Catholic Church, 555 S. Lilley Canton, Michigan, 48188. A second memorial mass will be held in Ohio on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 3720 St. Martin Place, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45211.
