Ona Rukstele

Ona Rukstele April 17, 2006 Beloved wife of the late Balys. Loving mother of Rimantas (Cheryl), Genute (Duane) and Ramune. Sister of Jonas and Kazys Mecelica. Grandmother of Alexa, Christina, Andrius and Marius. With her husband, Ona immigrated to America from Lithuania in 1949. Leaving her family and her homeland was difficult, but she and her husband worked hard, raised their three children and made a good life in America. She cherished her family, her grandchildren and her dear friends in the Lithuanian Community. She was devoted to her God, her parish and her garden. Instate at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia 5-9 PM Wednesday and instate at Divine Providence Church, 25335 W. 9 Mile, Southfield from 9 AM until time of service at 10 AM.
