Nathaniel Irwin was born on August 21, 1938. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Myrtle and Otha White. Nathaniel was affectionately known to his children as Da, and to his grandchildren as Granddaddy. Nathaniel was the bass player in a popular local band called Blues Plus, and was known to his friends and band members as Cigar Man. He was a hard worker, and a man of honor, morales, and values. Much to the delight of his family, Nathaniel accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2005 under the leadership of Sis. Murdie Daniels. He leaves a wonderful family behind to cherish his memory. A loving wife of 47 years, Hattie, daughters Janice (Alonzo). Sheila, Lavonda, Felicia (Jalon). Grandchildren: Shellie, Kelly, Jessica, Dion, Major, Danisha and Milan. Great-grandchildren: Amina and DeJuan Jr. A mother, Myrtle Bowman, brother Arthur Bowman (Desiree)and sisters-in law.
