Nancy Lynn Page of Redford, age 59, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024.
Nancy is survived by her sister Lori (Jeff) Barch, niece Riley Barch, half-brother Don Page, half-sister Connie (Dan) Wessel, niece Shelby (Manny)Tapia, her favorite cousin RJ Raisch, her best friend Elizabeth Martin and her 2 former husbands William Alberts and Keith Bingham. She was preceded in death by her parents Gene Page and Jean Coleman
Nancy was born in Highland Park Michigan on February 23, 1965 to Gene and Jean Page. She attended Livonia Churchill high School from 1980-1983. She was a member of band and marching band where she made lifelong friends.
In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating, bowling, darts and playing pool.
She had many jobs over the years from waiting tables to delivering flowers, but what she enjoyed most was helping people find their dream home. She was a real estate agent for over 33 years.
Nancy had a Coke in her hand wherever she went. Her car even had a built in cooler in the glove box to keep a spare one cold. She enjoyed trips up north to the family cabin and to New York to visit family. She loved to have poker parties with her friends and was an avid movie watcher. She always amazed us with the little bits of trivia she knew about movies and TV shows and could quote lines from both.
Nancy loved playing games like backgammon, cribbage, euchre and Parcheesi. It was always a contest to see who would be crowned “Parcheesi queen” at the end of the night. She loved taking photos and had a pretty good eye.
Nancy was a passionate Lions fan. She watched through the good, the bad and the just plain ugly.
Always by her side was her loyal dog Milo. He rescued her as much as she rescued him. He gave her purpose and love in a time when she felt she had little.
The light of Nancy’s life was her niece Riley. She referred to her as “her Little Sunshine.” She loved playing games with Riley, teaching her strategies but never ‘letting’ her win. Wins were always earned. She was also teaching Riley photography. They often had sleepovers where they would watch movies, eat popcorn and stay up late.
Nancy will be remembered most as a kind person who didn’t hesitate to tell you what she thought (even when you didn’t necessarily want to hear it). She was always smiling and that smile lit up the room. Thank you to everyone who was able to visit her in her last 2 weeks. Her happiness to see everyone was visible in that smile.
A Celebration of Life is planned for May 4th 2024 at The Cherish the Moments Event Space @ 28370 Joy Road, Livonia from noon to 3pm. If you plan on attending please text Lori Barch @ Nancy’s phone # 313-779-3031.
