Nancy Lapine

Nancy LaPine, 90 of Tallahassee, FL passed away at Big Bend Hospice on August 12, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL.

Nancy was born in Champagne, IL to the late Clay and Fern Dunaway on September 12, 1932. She spent the majority of her life in Livonia, MI.

Nancy was a faith and family-oriented person. She found much joy in her role as a mother and grandmother and loved to spend quality time with her family. Nancy will be remembered by her children for her support of their educations and careers, and by her granddaughters for her unwavering encouragement to pursue their interests and talents.

She dedicated her 20-year career to Livonia Public Schools as a Title I Paraprofessional where she worked with elementary students with learning disabilities. She was fulfilled in her career by helping children grow & develop in their education.

In addition to her parents Clay & Fern, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years William (Billie) LaPine, and brother Robert (Bob) Dunaway. She is survived by her sister Barbara Dunaway, children Christy (Jim) Carriero and Patrick (Kathy) LaPine as well as grandchildren Addison (Joshua) Perry and Madison LaPine who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 24 at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, MI 48154.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 25 at  the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, MI 48154. Followed by interment at Parkview Memorial Cemetery at 34205 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48154.
