Mi Won Barrios, age 74, passed away on March 5, 2021. She was born in Korea on September 12, 1946 to Sung Kil Hong and Chang Ok Lee (both deceased) Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Elizabeth (Sean) Coffey, Jennifer (Nick) Mendoza, Victoria (Paul) Favers and the late Lee Barrios. Dear grandma of McKenzie Coffey, Tanner Coffey, Julian Barrios, Angelina Mendoza, Alex Barrios, Jordan Mendoza, Amber Beilfuss, and Jacob Mendoza. She is also survived by 7 brothers and sisters. Mi Won came to America in 1971 and gained US Citizenship at the age of 64. She learned a lot of her English from watching American TV. She voted for the first time in the 2020 election, and her candidate won. Mi Won is best described as a great cook (famous for her egg rolls), avid gardener, crime fighter (fearless), and an entrepreneur who owned a children’s clothing store. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful singing voice. She loved her mommy/daughter days with Vicky, being a grandmother and hanging out with her best friend Julian.
