Maxine M. Johnson Bondie

May 11, 1930 — July 16, 2016

Maxine M. Johnson Bondie, 86, was born on May 11, 1930 in Grayling MI to the proud parents of Kenneth and Della Clise. She was followed by 3 siblings, Kenneth Jr., Geraldine and Donald. At the age of 14 Maxine and her extended family moved to Detroit MI where her father had started a new job and the family a new life. Maxine graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit and she had a variety of jobs from waitressing, working at the local grocery and the Wayne School District administration office. Then she went on a blind date with Robert Johnson whom she married and raised a family including 3 children, Michael, Diane and Sandra. They were married for 30 years until Robert passed due to cancer. Maxine was very active with family and worked at National Bank of Detroit as a teller. She always made time for her children's and church activities, annual family vacations and holiday celebrations. She was single for 11 years and then met Ken Bondie whom she was married to for 15 years until his passing. They enjoyed cards, friends, extended family and traveling. In her final years Maxine moved to Dublin OH for additional support and continued to stay in contact with her friends and family. Her optimistic and positive outlook lives on. _____________________ Maxine M. Johnson Bondie 86 years. May 11, 1930 - July 16, 2016.
