Mary Kay Keller (nee Plank) was born on January 30, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away peacefully in her home in Livonia, Michigan on October 9, 2022. She spent her youth growing up in Livonia. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 15 years, Troy Keller. She is survived by her loving sisters, Gail (Thomas) Wodowski, and Nora Plank; her cherished nieces and nephew, Jill Wodowski, Elizabeth "Libby" Plank, Melanie (Daniel) Plank, and Mark Champe; her precious grandnephews, Andrew "Drew" Plank and Wesley Plank; and her dear sister-in-law, Emilie Plank. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Robert, and Marie Plank and by her brother, Gary Plank. She leaves behind many dear friends and their families. Mary loved her cats, George, and the late Nomad. For the last 28 years Mary was employed as a flight attendant, starting with Mesaba Air (Northwest Airlines) which is now Endeavor Air (Delta Airlines). Outside of work, Mary was an avid animal rights activist. She dedicated countless volunteer hours with MARL (Michigan Animal Rescue League). She spent many hours lovingly caring for cats and kittens. She processed many adoptions, helping many felines find their forever homes. Mary treasured spending time with her family and many friends. Her interests included fitness, biking, hiking, and swimming. She enjoyed traveling too. Amongst her favorite places she visited with Troy were Hawaii, Yellowstone National Park, and the Best Friends Animal Rescue in Utah. She loved picnics, birthdays and other joyful times spent with her family including her nieces, nephew, and great nephews. She was the best aunt - always energetic and very silly! Mary was a kind, generous and loving person. Her outgoing, sweet, fun-loving spirit will be missed. A celebration of life will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Road, Livonia on October 29, 2022. The family will begin receiving guests at 9:30AM until 12:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 10:30AM.
