Mary Ellen Jenkins

Mary Ellen Jenkins, Age 85, of Garden City, Michigan, passed from this life into life everlasting in the arms of Jesus. She was born in Artemus, Kentucky on June 9, 1930 to James and Maggie Alford. Mary Ellen loved her Lord and Savior. She also loved Southern Gospel music, gardening, spending time with her family and also her Church family. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Justice. Dear mother of Anita (Herb) Kuppin, Cliff Watts, the late Bruce, Danny Lee (Debbie) Watts, Dennis Jenkins, Karen Mitton, Kenneth (Debbie Sue) Jenkins, and David (Kim) Jenkins. Also survived by her sister Beatrice Armbruster. She was preceded in death by her other siblings, Claude Hembre, Hazel Hembre, Beulah (nee Alford) Morbach, Sudie (nee Alford) Watson, Richard Hembre and Cecil Hembre. She was adored by her grandchildren, the late Christopher (Shawna), Bruce, Jr., Brian, Brooke, Eric, Ruth, Sarah, Kayla, Holly, Mark, Melissa, Sheila, Jeff, Steven, Tony, Mary, Elizabeth, Brian, Daniel, Zach, Matt, Nicole; and her great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Jace, Dusty, Charlotte, Gavin, Hayes, Titus, Hunter, Sierra, Chloe, Bruce James, Brian, Madison, Bob, Tristan, Lahia, Aubrey, Isaiah, Sarai, Silas, Natalie, Sophia, Simon, Draven, Corbin, Krislyn, Daylyn, Teja, Swisher, Landon, Makennah, Jace, and Kyler. Funeral services will be held at the Merriman Road Baptist Church, 2055 Merriman Rd., Garden City on Friday at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm at the R.G. & G.R.
