Mary Lou Cox

Mary Lou Cox (nee FitzPatrick), 91, of Canton, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home.

She was born on April 2, 1932 in Detroit, MI to the late Edwin and Erna FitzPatrick.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Cox; and three siblings, Helen Bosch, Joan FitzPatrick and Robert FitzPatrick.

Mary Lou is survived by her four children, Fred Cox, Thomas Cox, Linda Cox (Sue) and Terri Cox; granddaughters, Kirsten (Jason) Durling, Amanda, Mikala and Cierra Cox., Maria (Nick) Cox; great grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, Camilla, Nora, Jacob, Jack; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading and watching U of M football, Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Lions  She also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and spending summertime at Houghton Lake.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8th, 2023 from 5 - 8:00 PM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd.,, Livonia, MI 48154

In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Angela Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
