Mary Ann Helen Sherwood

Mary Ann Helen Sherwood, of Belleville, passed away on February 23, 2016. Mary Ann was born October 2, 1934 in her parent's home in Wyandotte, Michigan, and graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel High School in 1952. Mary Ann faithfully attended the Full Gospel Temple in Westland, Michigan since 1980. She was involved in Lighthouse Ministry/Soup Kitchen, Women's Ministries, editor of the Church Newspaper, and CARE ministry. Mary Ann also volunteered at the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was a Mighty Prayer Warrior and encouraged many. She also had time to do what she loved, gardening, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She was lovingly known by her grandchildren and any others as Meme. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Susan (David) Bauer and Robert Pischke. Also survived by grandchildren, Gary Sherwood, Jeannette Sherwood, Sarah (Matthew) Wrenn, Keri Pischke, Tamara Pischke, Michal Bauer, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Sherwood, her parents, Helen and Walter Wojnar, and her step-son Gary Sherwood, brother Walter Wojnar, & sister-in-law Theresa Wojnar. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, from 1-9 pm at the R.G.& G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Full Gospel Temple, 34033 Palmer Rd., Westland, Mi on Monday, in-state at 10 am until time of service at 11 am.
