Martha A. Harrington

Martha A. Harrington Of Redford, age 89, November 14, 2019. Born in Blue Mountain, Mississippi the daughter of William and Mary Ford. Beloved granddaughter of Claude and Agnes Elder, who she affectionately called Papa and Mama Elder. She married Robert Harrington in November of 1947, living in a dirt floor, one room house. Soon after they moved to Detroit, MI to work in a factory with her husband, mom and dad. They then bought their first home in Redford in the early 1950’s. She welcomed three kids starting in 1950, Becky, John and Judy. She finally became a grandmother in 1975 having six grandchildren, she relocated to her dream home in Lupton, MI. in 1990. She lost her first love Robert in 1998. She found love again with George Miracle and married in the early 2000’s. She always loved kids and was blessed to have many great grandkids and great great grandkids from both marriages that she loved very much. She always had a special relationship with her sister, Louise, who made it through a lot of tough times together. She will be missed but is surely enjoying Heaven. Martha is the wife of the late Robert Harrington and George Miracle. Loving mother of John (Cathy) Harrington, Judy Adams and the late Rebecca (Michael) Furca. Dear grandmother of Bethany and Jeremy, Angela and Robert, Matthew and Amanda (Suzie). Martha is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Louise Bohn. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 4 PM until her Memorial Service at 7 PM.
