Loren E. Good

Loren Elwood Good, 87, died peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning November 13th, 2016. He was born on October 16, 1929 and raised in Mikado Michigan, son of Russell Good and Eva Good-Shaw (Procunier). He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Good, brothers Norman, Gilbert and sister Roxanne. He leaves his two children, Rhonda Burden and her husband Chris, Russ Good and his wife Melissa; two grandsons Griffin and Cameron Good. He also leaves two brothers Merle (Arlene) and Arthur (Evelyn) Good. Loren joined the U.S. Marines at 19, once honorably discharged he continued his service to his country with the Marine Corps Reserves for 30 years and reached the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired after working 36 years with Michigan Bell/AT&T. Upon retirement, Loren and Shirley moved to Arizona City, AZ in 1989 where they spent 12 wonderful years together hiking, golfing, and enjoying time with old and new friends. After Shirley's death Loren remained in AZ, the place that he loved, before moving back to Michigan where Rhonda and Chris cared for him until his death. A Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Monday, November 21, from 3 - 8 pm. And on Tuesday, November 22, from 9:30 until his Funeral Service at 10:30 am.
