Leonard G. Stone

STONE, Leonard G., Died quietly at his home in Wildwood, FL Wednesday morning July 27, 2011 with family members at his side. Born May 30, 1926 in Wakefield, Ontario, his family moved to Detroit, MI when he was eight. After serving in the army during WWII, he worked at the GMC Hydromatic plant in Ypsilanti, MI until retirement. Preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Stone and his wife Catherine Stone (Darley). He is survived by children Sue (Dave) O'Bryan, Deborah (Bill) Sanford, Patty (Ron) Ward, Cathy (Bill) Smith, Linda (Rick) Goodman, Mary (Ron) Francis, Leonard Stone, Connie (Kerry) Kinsella, Steven (Paula) Stone, John (Donna) Stone, 21 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Visitation Monday and Tuesday from 2-9 pm at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd, Garden City, where Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am.
