Lawrence Zientarski

March 6, 1952 — December 11, 2020

Larry Zientarski of Livonia, Age 68, passed away December 11, 2020. Beloved husband of Therese for 44 years. Loving father of Stacy (Jamie) Wheeler, Michael (Rita) Zientarski, Sarah (Sean) Smith, Shelly (Ian Zaporski) Zientarski . Very proud Pa of Skyler Wheeler. Beloved dog dad of Truffles. Dear brother of Janie (Jerry) Ragen, Tony (Patty) Alan. Loving Son in Law of Michael Papierniak. Dear uncle of Matt (Monika), Danny (Lauren), Andy (Dianna), Ryan (Corinna), Bobby (Jackie), Kelly (Austin), Megan, Bryan (Lauren). Loving Pet grandpa of Lily, Henry, Raymond & Guenny. Larry was a truly remarkable treasure of a man. A man who found the good in everybody, who genuinely loved and cared for the people he surrounded himself with. Larry was such a loving husband. Larry and Therese met in fifth/sixth grade split class at St. Andrew School. They shared so much joy together over the years. They shared the same sense of humor and sense of right and wrong. They shared the same great love of their children. Larry was truly the greatest dad in the world. Always kind and thoughtful - always there. He encouraged creativity, personal expression and critical thinking. He taught us to care for each other and to care for all people. He was the best of the best. His incredible love was our guide, and will continue to be our guide. Being Pa to his granddaughter, Skyler, was the true joy in his life. He could play for hours on end with Skyler. They had so much fun. He loved his brother and sister to the fullest extent you could love a sibling. He loved being their little brother and always shared stories about their childhood. He remembered everything. He cherished being Uncle Larry, maybe even more so being "Crazy Uncle Larry". He loved his nieces and nephews like his own. Larry's friendliness was genuine. He had so many great friends in his personal and work life. His many close friends are more like family. They are his children's aunts and uncles - their children are lifelong friends. If you were a customer of his, you were sincerely his friend. It was effortless for him to be in sales because he loved people and getting to know them. He instilled his love of sports, music, dogs/animals, and goofiness in his family. He instilled his pure sense of joy in us all. He will be unbelievably missed. No words can truly express. Our hearts are broken, but he is with us. I love you Larry. We love you dad soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo etc. much!!!!!! Due to Covid-19, a private family memorial will be held Friday December 18. A celebration of Larry's life will be held when it is safe and possible at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers, Please Donate to Gleaners Community Food Bank (www.gcfb.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)." Please share a memory of Larry on his Tribute Wall.
