Kerry Sturm

Kerry E. Sturm, 66 years, of Westland, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Garden City Hospital, Garden City, Michigan. She was born May 10, 1949 in Calumet, Michigan, the daughter of Albert R. and Alice (Rogan) Brulla. She was a 1967 graduate of Calumet High School. She married to Maurice Anthony Sturm on October 26, 1968 in Calumet, Michigan. Kerry loved her family. She was always quick to pull out recent pictures of her grandbabies to show to anyone that would look. Anyone that knew Kerry, knows that her grandchildren were her world. Her life was centered around time shared with family. She had a generous heart and her love was bigger than life. She was known for her love of Christmas. Her tree and presents were elegantly decorated and simply breathtaking to see. She had a knack for decorating that always made her home feel warm and welcoming. She was a creative personality and dabbled in all sorts of crafts (i.e. crocheting, flower arranging, sowing, jewelry making). Surviving is her husband, Maurice; two children, Toni (David) New, Erik (Shannon) Sturm; five grandchildren: Brandon, Griffen, Lainey, Trinity, and Anthony; her mother, Alice (Deetz) Brulla; three sisters, Penny (Tom) Fulayter, Debbie (Bob) Hockings, Tammy Armantrout. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert R. Brulla. Visitation Sunday, March 13th, 2-8pm at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City.
