Kenneth G. Munro

July 7, 1940 — February 7, 2022

Kenneth G. Munro, of Livonia, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2022. Beloved husband of Donna for 56 years. Loving father of Faith (Gary) Walton and Keith (Danna) Munro. Dear grandfather of Matt (Bryn) Walton, Gabby Munro, Amanda Walton, Ty Walton, Maddy Munro, Kara Walton, Catherine Munro, Emily Walton and Kendra Munro. Great grandfather of Charlotte & Rosalie Walton. Brother of Harelene Green. Also survived by his brother in law, John Biggerstaff, nieces and nephews. Ken loved God and loved his family. He grew up in a difficult family situation, raised by his dad and quite literally by the neighbors near his home in Ecorse, MI. He joined the Army and served his country in Korea, before coming home to marry a girl from the neighborhood, Donna, and give the rest of his life to his family. Ken and Donna were faithful to their church, where he spent every Sunday for more than 25 years, teaching primary Sunday School. He would prepare all week for the time he would spend teaching and caring for his class kids. We are thankful for his life of steadfast faithfulness and will miss him very much. Death seems to always come before we are ready for it, and we are experiencing that burden. But God’s timing is good and we are resting in His plans. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10 AM until his Funeral Service at 11 AM. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Please share a memory of Ken on his Tribute Wall.
