Kenneth James Aldridge of Livonia, Michigan, age 82, passed away on December 28, 2024. Kenneth was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 10, 1942, to Homer and Jean Aldridge. Beloved husband of Patricia Henkel-Aldridge. Loving father of John Aldridge, Christopher Aldridge, and Katherine Saferian (Cary). Dear grandfather of Eric and Alex Staniszewski. Great-grandfather of Emmalee and Oliver. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Station Operator and Supervisor for Detroit Edison until his retirement in 2001. Kenneth had a passion for vintage airplanes and was a member of the Yankee Air Museum. He also had a passion for vintage cars, and owned several. His 1973 Thunderbird was chosen by Ford Motor Company to represent that model year. He loved building his cars, as well as showing them, especially at the Dream Cruise, Hines Park Cruise and M-1 Drags. Kenneth had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Kenneth will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City, Michigan. At 2:00 p.m. the same day, there will be a service with military honors.
