Kathleen Curtis

Kathleen M. (Durrenberg) Curtis of Livonia, Michigan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, June 23, 2024.

Kathy was born September 8, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan.  She graduated in 1960 from Henry Ford High School in Detroit.  Kathy was married to her loving husband, Jerry, for 63 years.  She absolutely adored her three children and grandchildren the moment they were born.  She enjoyed people and was always the last to leave any gathering.  She was a bank teller for nearly 20 years.  Kathy often went sailing, was an avid bowler with a high score of 298, and enjoyed playing golf.  She loved to crochet afghans for her family, friends, and newborns.  She played games, especially card games, with a competitive zest, even while playing a friendly game of Michigan rummy, spoons or tripoley.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry, dear children Jim (Jennifer) and Diana (Jim), beloved grandchildren Brenna, Logan (fiancée Alyssa), siblings Vicky, Roy (Linda), Harry, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis, siblings Frank and Barbara, father Frank, step mother Donna and mother Alice.

Kathy’s visitation will be held Thursday, June 27 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the R.G & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia.  Visitation on Friday, June 28 at 10:00am.  Funeral service to follow at 11:00am.  Procession to follow to Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park 35667 W. Eight Mile Road, Livonia.
