June Irene Johnson Age 97, died peacefully, on August 7, 2020, in Farmington Hills, at the Beaumont Commons Assisted Living Facility which had been “home” for several years. She had been under the care of Angela Hospice. June considered staff and residents there dear friends as they cared for her like family. June was the eldest child of Floyd and Irene Wiseman, born in Detroit, MI, 2/10/1923. June was predeceased by her parents, by all four of her siblings, Alice, Richard, Earl, and Delores; by her beloved husband, William B. Johnson; and by her dear son, Robert (Bobby). She is survived by loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews, many from whom she received visits, phone calls, gifts, cards and pictures, which she treasured. In her younger years, June worked for American Airlines, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, and the Sealtest Company. She also cared for family members when they needed her, most notably, her Mother, who was ill for many years. She was a skilled seamstress and a beautifully-scripted and heartfelt letter/note writer. June loved traveling with her husband and was a huge fan of country music. At Beaumont Commons, “Bobby” Guskovict, an acoustic guitar-playing, singer/performer frequenting the facility, filled that “love.” June always wanted front-row access to his warm and humorous performances. June was also a true patriot and a die-hard conservative republican. And, she was known throughout the facility for her quick humor and “signature smile.” June had a quiet faith and became very appreciative and thankful in her last days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Beaumont Foundation, BCCC Fullness of Life AL, Beaumont Commons, FH, addressed to: Beaumont Commons, 21400 Archwood Circle, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. At June's request, a simple grave-side service will be held at The White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI, at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Please share a memory of June on her Tribute Wall.
