Judith Nagy

October 9, 1940 — June 22, 2020

Judith Laurine Nagy, affectionately known as “Judie or Juju”, 79 of Livonia, Michigan, lost her courageous battle to cancer on June 22, 2020. She will be forever remembered as a loving and dedicated mother of three wonderful children, Kellianne Nagy, Mark (Suzanne) Nagy and Leigh (Vaughn) Pistolesi. Grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren, Douglas Nagy, Morgan Pistolesi (Niko Tonti), and Alexander Nagy. She is proceeded in death by her mother and father, Mildred and Lawrence Bernick. Judie was a lifelong resident of Livonia where she worked for the city for over 30 years as the City Assessor and owned French’s Flowers. Judie loved to spend her retirement years traveling and a resident of sunny, New Smyrna Beach, Florida where she entertained family and friends. Judie had a passion for bowling, golf, dominos, casinos and Tiger baseball. Judie was a passionate volunteer for the Livonia Heart Fund for 20 years and after retiring she continued that passion at Florida Hospitals. Judie was dedicated to her family and all her lifelong friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, from 3pm to 8pm at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd. Livonia, MI 48154 and a mass celebration will follow on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at St. Colette Catholic Church (17600 Newburgh Rd. Livonia MI 48152) at 10am with a viewing prior at 9am. Donations are being accepted to Angela Hospice in memory of Judith Nagy. Due to COVID-19, we are requesting a mask be worn at the viewing and funeral and we ask that you abide by both facilities guidelines.
