Joyce L. Toth

Joyce L. Toth (nee Axford) Age 83, April 8, 2014. Beloved wife of 61 years of the late John Toth. Loving mother of John (Lorie) Toth and Christina (Mark) Rearick. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Jon and Aaron, Rachel and Nathan. Joyce and John were Garden City residents for many years. Joyce graduated from Sparta High School in 1949 with Valedictorian Honors. She received her nursing training from the Blodgett Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids in 1952 and received her Registered Nursing Degree from Madonna University in 1980. She retired from Sinai Surgery Center in 2007 but continued on as a contingent nurse for several more years. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for many years. A Memorial visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City, Friday 3-7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5885 Venoy Rd., Westland, Saturday at 1 p.m. Joyce's cremated remains will be interred next to John's at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conklin, MI.
