Joy M. Fulkerson

Joy M. Fulkerson (Marlene)  passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 87.

She was a beloved daughter of Aline Mae and John Clarence Davidson, the mother of James D. Fulkerson, (Beth), Kurt D. Fulkerson, ( Karen), Karen L. Maestri, grandmother to Kendal, Courtney, Troy, Brian, Eric, great-grandmother to Fenton and Harper, sister to Barbara Orders, and aunt to Brenda, Charlie, and David.

Marlene grew up in Redford, Michigan and moved to Westland after marrying (James E. Fulkerson).  After raising her family, she returned to work at AT&T where she retired after 20 years of service.  Marlene could talk to anyone, entertaining others with her comical stories.  She was playful, loved a good joke, old movies, recipes, Halloween and Christmas.  Marlene was kind to animals, taking in strays and keeping the neighborhood birds and squirrels fed and watered.  She was a wonderful cook, an excellent saver and was always generous to others in word and deed.
