John C. Buffington John C. Buffington, 63, of Livonia, MI, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. John was born in Peru, IN, to the late William and Kate (Cole) Buffington. He was a graduate of Peru High School and Purdue University. On February 17, 1978, he married Beth Zimmerman in Lafayette, IN, and she survives. Surviving along with his wife are three daughters: Sarah Davis (Tim) of Virginia, Katie Buffington of Virginia, and Anne Buffington of Michigan. He is also survived by five precious grandchildren: Eve, Cora, Lucy, Emma, Ryan, eleven siblings and mother-in-law Sharon Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. A celebrated athlete and avid cyclist, one of his greatest achievements was placing 9th overall in RAAM in 1996 with his family by his side. Visitation at the R.G. & G.R.
