John M. Borrie

John MacDonald Borrie "Jack", Age 95 of Troy, Michigan. Clearwater, Florida and most recently Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021 at home with his family by his side. He was born July 29, 1926 in Windsor, Canada and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1942. In 1948, John "Jack" married Shirley Sloat in Oakland County, Michigan. He worked at Troy Aggregate for most of his career. Later in life he worked for UPark in Clearwater, Florida driving a bus for disabled children. John is survived by his children; Robert (Connie) Borrie, Darlene Borrie Wharff, Ronald (Elena) Borrie, John Borrie and Melissa (Tim) Williams,.his grandchildren; Michael (Sheena) Borrie, Timothy Borrie, Adam (Danielle) Borrie, Angela Borrie, Rustin Wharff, Meghan Wharff, Sara and Mackenzie Williams, Kristopher Butterfield, brothers; Donald (Marge) Borrie and Bruce Borrie. He is also survived by several great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Shirley Ann Borrie and his granddaughter, Jamie Borrie Butterfield. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 11 AM until his Memorial Service at 2 PM.
