Jo Ann Bates

Jo Ann Bates Age 70. Jo was born in Detroit Michigan on September 22, 1950 to Charles Whitehead and Agnes (Nolan) Whitehead. On the morning of May 31, 2021, Jo passed away with her family by her side. She was the oldest of three children and the only daughter. Jo graduated from Plymouth High School in 1968. She loved to play cards, sing and dance. She enjoyed watching her soap operas and TV programs daily. Jo always said what was on her mind and was very stubborn to her core, this made so many people laugh and love her even more. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Jo was preceded in death by her parents Charles, Agnes and her brother Brian. Jo is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver Kristin Shuttleworth (Mike). Her children James Ginther, Joseph Ginther and Jaclyn Jarmusevich. Grandchildren Kayla Collier (Reed) and Hunter Schlatterbeck. Great-grandchild Wes Collier and brother Mark Whitehead (Alsie). A special thank you to Lisa Todeschini for helping provide great care to Jo and the family in their time of need. A Memorial Service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Visitation starting at 11:00 AM. Please share a memory of Jo on her Tribute Wall.
